Church Post #1

This is the new scene that I am working on.  It is a church that is on top of this island in the middle of this lake xD here is the concept photo that I am working from:

I'm interpreting that as an old Church.  Why? B/c I think it looks like one and that is a BA place for one xD.  Here are the models that I have so far:

Top: Interior
Middle: Exterior Assets
Bottom: Walls
What do you guys think so far?

Figure Study Post #3

This is a collection of figures done on monday in class.  They were 8min poses.  I was able to get to shading on a few of them, but not as many as I wanted.  Need to increase my speed so I can get to it in time.

The Buddy System Post #2

Here are some screens of a couple simple things for my team project: The Buddy System.  Remember that the look is very cartoony and all of the meshes will have a Toon Shader on them in Unity.  :D

Carrot Boss.  Maya/Photoshop

Sunflower Enemy: Maya/Photoshop

Watermelon Enemy: Maya/Photoshop
Counter-Top: Maya/Photoshop
The Counter-top is the basic "floor" that the player will run on in the game.  And the Sunflower is a stationary enemy that shoots seeds at you (similar to the watermelon but the watermelon moves).  The Carrot Boss will burrow underground and attack the player then have a cool-down time in which the player will have a chance to do damage.  What do you guys think? :D

Tree Village Post #2

Here is some of the progress i've been making on my tree village.  I have more that is being detailed and shown.  Also most of the assets are modular and i only have one of them in the scene at the moment.

Figure Study Post #1

I'm working on figure studies to try and learn the figure in a new way.  Taking an animation approach to the human form is teaching me how to move it in 3D space on a 2D surface.  Its a rough concept to pick-up on at first but I feel I am making great progress.  Want to give a special thanks to Taylor for volunteering to model for me last week.  Here is a collection of the 5min drawings I did with her:

I believe I made great improvement that lead to today's life drawing session in class.  The below model is the classes usual model (5min poses):

I believe I've made a huge jump forward in understanding the human form.  Lots left to learn, but I'm excited to get to it :D Please comment and critique.

The Buddy System Post #1

Along with the last project that I posted on here I am also in the process of making a new game called: "The Buddy System".  I mentioned this project in an earlier post, but this is the first update that I have done.  We are using the Unity engine and are going for a cartoony look (as you can see from the model).  We are using a Toon Shader (lit outline) in Unity to give it an interesting feel.  I hope to have a few screenshots of that soon along with a few other models.  This is the Watermelon enemy in the game.  He shoots seeds at the players.  Maya/Photoshop 1500poly

The Tree Village Post #1

This is the beginning of my new project.  3 weeks to create a tree village and put it into the UDK and have a character be able to run around in it.  This is what i've started and the first ref image that its based off of (original art signature still in upper corner):

Jun

While I'm still working on the WWII Spitfire I thought I'd upload this to get a view on what people think of it. This is a game called Jun that my team of 4 and I made.  We built it in the UDK with all costume assets.  It took 9 weeks and was showcased at SIEGE early this Oct.  It was a lot of fun to work on and Fishypant Productions (the team) is now currently working on a new game called The Buddy System.  We hope to have it complete within the next 9-10 weeks

What did you guys think of this small video?  If we allowed a free download to play the whole thing would you be interested in it?

WWII Spitfire WIP

I started this plane a few years ago and I'm now working on it again to improve on it.  It had terrible geometry and the mesh was just bad (over 4k poly).  I re-topoed it to its current look.  Using Maya 2010 and Topogun.  Am working on getting textures on it.  I will upload those when they are done (soon).  Any comments or concerns?  I welcome all critique.  Click on Image to enlarge
